The Journal of Rural and Community Development (JRCD) is pleased to announce the release of Volume 9, Issue 3. This is a general issue. The topics are varied, including: economic and business development, resource development and conservation, government programming, education, health care, planning, and tourism. The geography is also broad, including research conducted in the United States of America, United Kingdom, Canada, Mexico, Slovenia, and Australia. We hope you enjoy.

We are now producing the last issue of the year (9(4)). We hope to release it by the end of the year. We appreciate the patience of authors as we deal with the high volume of submissions.

The JRCD acknowledges funding from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada through their 'Aid to Scholarly Publications' programme. This assists us in improving the review and publication process and marketing the JRCD.

The JRCD is published by the Rural Development Institute (RDI) at Brandon University. RDI was established in 1989 as an academic research centre and a leading source of information on issues affecting rural communities in western Canada and elsewhere. The JRCD benefitted with initial funding from the Manitoba Department of Agriculture, Food and Rural Development. For more information, please visit:
